Secluded hot springs

The development of Yuanshan Hot Springs can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty more than 200 years ago. Located in the sedimentary rock region of Lanyang Plain, Yuanshan Hot Springs, also known as Yilan Hot Springs, feature clear water, a temperature of 37-45℃, and a pH of 8.5; they are sodium bicarbonate chloride springs. Each guest room is equipped with a personal pool for the ultimate enjoyment of every guest.

Functional design in line with geography

The entrance is designed like a paper plane with heavy eaves and elevated angles to manifest the historical significance of the three airports built in Yilan in the past. The roof’s sloped design features interlaced masses and varying ridge heights to create a Zen-style image, as well as rainproof and heat insulation functions.

Based on the Japanese-style old buildings in Yilan, the Westin Yilan Resort provides one entrance with a Zen-style layout and two additional entrances with a modern and simple design.
